1Overview
The Oman eVisa is an online tourist entry authorisation that avoids queues for visa on arrival or visits to an Omani mission. Three eVisa options exist, differing in validity and stay.
It is for tourism; the traveller shows a printed copy at the border where the officer issues the final entry permit.
Who needs it
- Needed by travellers staying longer than 14 days or not on the visa-free list.
- Citizens of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain need no visa; over 100 nationalities can enter visa-free for up to 14 days with a hotel booking, health insurance and return ticket.
- GCC residents in approved professions may use a separate GCC Resident eVisa.
- Staying in the airport transit area without passing immigration generally needs no visa.
