1Overview
The Mongolia eVisa is an electronic record linked to the passport number; there is no physical card. It is issued in categories: K2 for tourism, K4 for sport, cultural or arts events, content creation and filmmaking, and K6 for transit.
It is needed by nationals of eligible countries before entering Mongolia for these purposes.

- Nationals of a separate list of countries travel visa-free; nationals on neither list apply for an embassy visa.
- Requirements may vary by nationality.
- Choose the correct category; for example a Naadam event participant may need K4 rather than K2.
- Transit under 24 hours inside the airport international transit area without clearing immigration needs no visa; leaving the airport or overland transit (e.g. Trans-Mongolian Railway) needs a K6 eVisa.
